The town of Lienz is situated right in the heart of the Alps, protected by the Lienz Dolomites and the main range of the Alps. With over 2,000 hours of sunshine per year it is one of the sunniest spots in Austria and an ideal place for motorcyclists to stay.

From here you can choose from a wide range of motorcycle tours in the mountains and we have allowed ourselves to pick out 6 tours for you which take you along some of the most twisting roads and over the most spectacular passes in the region (see 'Recommended Tours').

The BEST WESTERN Hotel Sonne is the ideal place for motorcyclists. You can park your bike in our lock-up garage. You can even hose down your bike there. Furthermore, you can use our drying room to let your wet gear dry out overnight.
