White mountains all around you, blue skies, deep, powdery snow, velvety firn; ski hiking is the best way to get to know East Tyrol. East Tyrol is not overcrowded so the hiker is likely to have the route all to himself. Should you decide to go it alone, there is a wealth of literature at your disposal.
