Umbal Falls

The Umbalfälle are a waterfall on the upper reaches of the Isel in the Hohe Tauern National Park and they were declared a natural monument in 1991.

It takes about 40 minutes to walk to the two snack-bars Pebellalm and Islitzer Alm, but it is a lot more fun in the horse-drawn carriage. Beyond these the water walkway begins, taking you up to the top of the falls, with several observation platforms and explanatory charts en route.
